About Us

The Hideaway Lake Association, (HLA), aka Hideaway Lake Properties Inc., is a recreational membership for Hyatt Lake and the surrounding property.  We currently have 175 voting members and maintain a volunteer board of directors that manage our Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.  The Association has been in place for over 45 years through an agreement with Farmers Highline Canal.  Membership is restricted to ownership within a boundary area that encompasses three neighborhoods, however, not all homes in these neighborhoods have a membership. Lake membership transfers with the sale of a home when the current member certificate is redeemed and a new certificate is issued by HLA to the buyer after closing.

 

Hyatt Lake is located in unincorporated Jefferson County.  The lake is approximately 75 acres and is surrounded by a beautiful natural habitat with abundant wildlife.  HLA members have access to a walking trail, three beaches, three swimming docks, and a picnic area with a volleyball court.  The Association sponsors three major social events during the year. The water in the lake is owned by several shareholders, including the City of Arvada and local farms.  The storage and adjacent land is owned by Farmers Highline Canal.
